Born in 1991, Emily has been training across France for the past few years and is now settling back in London working with Restaurant Associates.

“I left for France because I wanted to be more anonymous without the pressure of being a Roux. I’m lucky enough to have been taught by some of the greatest chefs in the world, but I wanted to be able to find my own feet and make my own name. It was easier to do that away from the UK.”

Emily Roux has established an exclusive partnership with Restaurant Associates, Compass Group UK & Ireland’s fine-dining division, to work as a consultant. In this role, Emily will work on creating bespoke client menus, guest appearances in client dining restaurants, attend client and team events and support the chefs of Restaurant Associates.

 

Restaurant Associates has an outstanding relationship with the Roux family, and currently works in partnership with Albert and Michel Roux Jr.As part of the ongoing association, both will continue to coach Restaurant Associates’ chefs, as well as hosting master classes for clients, prospective clients and workshops for chefs. Michel also opened Roux at Parliament Square in May 2010, with Restaurant Associates and this new partnership will see Emily and Michel hosting private events side by side at the venue.

Monday nights at Le Gavroche
Emily Roux hosts a Pop Up night at Le Gavroche, using Skrei Cod & Balvenie Whiskey.

Emily is running a themed Pop up every month at Le Gavroche alongside Michel Roux. The next one will be on Monday 25th of April will be on the subject of "women chefs” with Rachel Humphrey (the Executive chef at Le Gavroche) and Angela Hartnett.

The hospitality corporate provider Keith Prowse has announced that Emily Roux will join the family dynasty for the first time at the Investec Derby and The Championships, Wimbledon.

Emily promises to bring her own flair to the menus drawing on her experiences of working in some of the world’s finest kitchens.
